Elementary School
Beginning in kindergarten, students learn about mind-body connections that help them to focus on their learning.
Our classrooms use movement activities to energize the brain. Research shows that physical movement and activity benefit brain function by supplying oxygen, promoting the growth of new brain cells and aids in creating new synapses.
We host visiting performers to both analyze the elements of dance and simply enjoy this performing art.
In physical education and through chosen electives our students are exposed to various forms of dance throughout time, including square dancing, line dancing, rhythmic dancing, and creative movement.
